    I can relate. What is your aim instead?

    Although, the question assumes we always need/have one. We may not.

    Personal spiritual development and bringing love into the lives of others. The thing is, none of those things has a tangible measure and may seem silly to others. Like "well sure that's important, but what do you really want?" To me, happiness or success are distractions of lesser value.
    You hem me in -- behind and before;
    you have laid your hand upon me.
    Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
    too lofty for me to attain.

    I feel ya! Happiness is a by-product of a meaningful life, not an end in itself. I also believe that professional success is pointless if it's not meaningful and serving society in some way, so I tend to turn down promotions that offer more paperwork and less purpose. Even just from a practical POV, I do better at jobs that engage my heart and soul. Besides I think you can chase happiness your whole life and have less satisfaction with your life than the person who suffers for a truly worthy cause [not that you should seek out needless suffering].

    When I try to explain that to people they say, translation: Jeremy is sad and poor and is looking to rationalize his failings.

    I read care2.com 6 keys to spiritual development. I understand now, I think that's a good path for ENFP especially.

    As one friend said, my intj boyfriend sounds like he works for Sephora when he talks about malefumes.

    I am an advocate for crying. Just don't let it be the only thing you do.

    Why cry a river in which you'll sink when you can deal with it?
    Imagine this is the best thing you've ever read.

    Sometimes they're just too much to deal with or you just can't do anything about it you know, that's just life I guess..

    That's what I feel sometimes like I'm drowning.. It's exhausting to deal with of that all at once, specially when there are issues that you really you consumed all the solutions for, and yet it's not getting any better..
    I'm sorry for bothering you guys I just felt so down [emoji17]
