I like talking to people, random ass people, everyone, lol ... I suppose there's a political aspect to it but I try not to focus too much on that ... but really I just love small talk, where'd you get those shoes, what do you think of the new restaurant that opened up, have you been waiting long, etc. etc. etc. I know others hate small talk but I adore it!! Mix in a few jokes, a little teasing, and a few smiles and that's a pretty enjoyable interaction.

I just spontaneously lied today without the reason (it was only after I said it when I noticed it's a terrible bullshit). Don't know what is wrong with my brain I don't do things like that.

1.) Dug some PJ pants from the mountain of clean laundry last night - they had a drafty hole in the leg. Too tired to sew it, I used ducktape to seal it for the night.

2.) House-sitting my good friend's wealthy sociopath mother's palace w/said friend a few weeks ago - put a pizza in the oven on a glass dish I assumed was tempered since it was with all the bakeware above the oven. Minutes after inserting the pizza, I hear a weird POP. Friend is only yards away, watching TV, oblivious. Open the door - the glass dish has basically exploded from the heat. Remarkably, the glass beneath the pizza itself remained unscathed.

In frantic stealth-mode, I shut off the oven, removed & examined the pizza for glass shards. Nope. None. Set it aside on a big cookie sheet, & gathered all the broken glass from beneath the baking rack. Folded it into a kitchen towel, & flew up the stairs with it, tucking it into a nook in another room. Because I'm five.

Pizza came out great, finished our TV show. Friend retired early. I waited an hour or so, then uncovered my stash of broken property.*

Took it across the street to the woods, down a path, & chucked it out, well beyond trafficked areas.
Washed & hung up the kitchen towel like nothing happened.

My name is Lex, I'm 30 years old, & scared of a friend's mom.

    /takes a seat

    *stands back up*

    Wait- don't go! There's more!

Next day, Friend & I were rushing to leave for an appointment. She takes a regular drinking glass from her mom's kitchen w/her, filled w/water. Leaves it atop the car as she moves some crap around in the vehicle before hopping in. Pulls out of the driveway, we hear a shattering noise. Glass smashed in the driveway. I suppress the urge to ask why she didn't just use a travel mug, or take one of my bottles of water.

We return from the appt, collect the broken glass, & she searches for a safe spot to discard her evidence.
She deposits hers in similar fashion.

    Because we're both five.

*Note: I did replace the "non"-baking dish with one identical (or pretty damn close) to it before her frightening mother arrived.
It has since been used, without a hitch.

If my socks have holes in them I don't buy new ones until people start noticing and point it out to me.

Apartment to myself for the weekend. So much (distraction free!) cleaning to do.
Need to take frequent showers to get any spores off me (ringworm cat stuff).

Of course the diverter in the faucet breaks - now. Can't send the water up to the shower.

My temporary solution til the new faucet arrives next week - unscrewed the tub spout & removed it entirely.
Ducktaped the HELL out of the exposed copper pipe after stuffing a little bit of bubble wrap in there to block it.

Water goes directly to the showerhead, now. Super ghetto, hence the "confession" categorization.

I'm also procrastinating right now. Bigtime.

Okey. Let's take the NT approach here.
    1) burn the cats/give away the cats (preferably in a sealed plastic bag)
    2) if it's a black cat(s) apply holy water generously.
    2) disinfect the whole house while wearing desinfectant soaked latex gloves (and DONT TOUCH YOUR FACE)
    3) burn/trash anything that came close to the cat
    4) buy medical grade desinfectant (the thing they give you to shower before surgery) or something engineered to kill that kind of things (there's special shampoos for mushroom type thins) put it on for a few minutes. THen wash. Repeat.
    5) get your AC CLEANED, that's where the fungi LIVE
    6) take off the gloves
    7) Take anti worm meds, full treatment.
    7) don't put yourself back into the same situation you crazy person
