Maybe the nice way to say it is that I've decided my life is too short to waste time to feign care for people (god bless them) and things that I couldn't care less about. But the concise way to say it is that I'm a snob. It's time to own it.

For a while I resisted the possibility that I might be a snob, because I've never liked people who thought they were better than others. But I've been forced to admit that when it comes to certain things, I am a total snob, and it would be futile to deny it.

    So yeah. Snob solidarity.

Sometimes I look back at my past self, from anywhere from a few months to a few years ago, and think "what a fucking moron" and cringe at what I realize in retrospect I was doing wrong. Then I consider that in a few months to a few years, I'll have that same reaction to how I am now - no matter how together I think I am now, in the future my current self will be just another "fucking moron" past self. I imagine this pattern will recur for the rest of my life. It's not really a bad thing...just a consequence of my judgement slowly improving. Not recognizing my stupid actions and attitudes would be the bigger problem.

I usually don't relate to Millennials. I typically don't like Millennials. So I prefer to think of myself as a very late Baby Boomer.

I think most Millennials would say the same thing.

I just read my diary from when I was in high school.

The secondhand embarrassment is real. (If you can really consider present me being embarrassed for past me as secondhand).
