The only problem I've ever had with a PC was a broken power button. I know, it's an anecdote, etc.

I haven't really had too many problems. Not nearly enough to justify the expense of a mac. I find mac people slightly insufferable. (Not you personally, Wyst.)

Apple replacement and repair is so good for one reason. Practice.

Yeah, they kind of remind me of evangelicals, except they believe in Steve Jobs instead of Jesus. Except for YOU, Mac owner reading this. You're aces

    Whatever you say.

I've had too many bad experiences with PCs. You know, one of them catching on fire when I tried to boot it up kind of turned me off to the product.

The G4 we got in 2000 is still plugging away. We offered to pass down one of the minis to our oldest daughter when we get new machines, but she wants to keep it. She says it does what she needs it to do.

The minis have been a little disappointing in that we've had to replace the hard drives and the CD drives have died, but they are plenty fast. Don is going to replace his, but I'm just going to replace my CD drive because I'm still happy with it.

I do eventually want something portable, though. I haven't decided if it's going do be an iPhone, an iPod touch, or dinosaur iBook. There's a possibility we might get a PC at some point, but we've been happily using Macs since '95.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

I like my mac, I had pcs before this and had so many more problems with those then I have ever had with this machine. I'll admit I'm abusive to my things, so I need something that can take an impatient irresponsible human like myself, and this does just that.ok so my room mate had stepped on it and ended up having to get refurbished, but if she hadn't done that I would have only had to replace the battery and charger and I swear months in on all my other machines I had to replace hard drives without some stepping on it. So I've had bad experiences with PCs I'm not totally anti PC I'm not looking at PC users and going ewwwww gross you use a PC you deplorable creature posing as a human get away from me! I'll use other people's PCs and when it's not mine I tend to take extra special care of it. Just if I own the computer I should not own something that isn't practically idiot proof.
