Default Curiosity - how does it affect you.

Curiosity and inquisitiveness is somewhat of a defining trait for me, I like to know how things work, what people are thinking and why, I'm always asking questions in my mind even if I'm not always speaking them (tho I often do). I've also noticed that some people just don't seem very inquisitive, but I wonder if thats a false perception or if they are also always asking questions in their mind. I also wonder if different types have stronger curiosity about different things. I'm also curious to see if there is an enneagram correlation about curiosity. I do have a few theories, and seeing how others respond may shed some light on past speculations I've made.

    Questions.

What is your MBTI type? (or approximate type)

What is Your Enneagram type? (if known)

How would you rate your overall level of curiosity?
(apathetic, very low, low, average, high, very high, extreme etc.)

What sort of things are you most curious about?
(how do you see curiosity manifesting itself in you)

Do you keep your curiosities to yourself or share them with others by asking questions?

I have strong to very strong curiosity about a lot of things, but trying to understand the thoughts, motivations, values, and reasoning of other people is something I think a lot about. If how something works or how something was accomplished is not obvious or does not make sense, I'll usually spend a bit of time trying to figure out the how and why behind it. In general, a lot of my curiosity I suspect to be Ne related in trying to make connections to various things and say "oh this does this because this, because that does this" and that makes a chain of curiosity trying to "make sense of all the puzzle pieces" and hoping it will show me something new.

Do you keep your curiosities to yourself or share them with others by asking questions?
I actually do keep a large amount of my curiosities to myself, at least until I can refine them down to more specific questions. I'm much more likely to ask how or why questions out of spontaneous curiosity. Questions about other people feelings, motivations and emotional states I need to put a lot more thought into what to ask and how to approach the topics and in the end I may decide to just "leave those questions for another day".

I am measuring my level of curiosity by the amount of interest that random subjects can inspire in me at random times. If and when an interesting subject comes up (and this can occur in nearly any context), I'll almost always be compelled to check it out further so that I at least have a basic 'overall' understanding of it. Many I become obsessed with and end up pursuing in greater depth. These subjects are various, but the general connection between them is that they all tend to be fairly arcane.

Do you keep your curiosities to yourself or share them with others by asking questions?
If I can sense that the person(s) I'm with will respond positively and helpfully, then I'll share and ask questions regarding the subjects I'm curious about. If not I keep them to myself. So it varies with the situation, but if I were to make a generalization about my behavior, then I'd say that most of the time I keep it to myself. I've been around some people that absolutely love being asked specific questions about their fields/areas of expertise, though, so there have been instances where my curiosity has been indulged satisfactorily by other people.

I'm curious about the human mind (especially sexuality and how people define themselves and the world around them), the natural world, the relation between humans as a species and the natural world, what human technology could become in the future, why we are capable of thought on the level that we are, ect.

I tend to ask a lot of questions... I also just read about things I'm interested in.

Pretty much everything. Curiosity is a natural part of my personality. My career leans towards more academic pursuits, but there really is no subject that I do not wish to know more about.

Do you keep your curiosities to yourself or share them with others by asking questions?
I ask a silly amount of questions, though often I feel like I keep my true intentions to myself. Whether or not people can see through that is up for debate (freakin ENF's, you know exactly what I mean).

What sort of things are you most curious about?
(how do you see curiosity manifesting itself in you)

animals, what's going on behind the scenes during professional sports or the taping of tv shows or things like that, what people say about me when I'm not around, what people are doing when I can't see them...

Do you keep your curiosities to yourself or share them with others by asking questions?

I ask questions when I think there's a good chance of actually getting an informed response, I don't ask when I know either no one knows or won't be completely open and honest with me.

When I think too hard about stuff that I don't know and can't know, it makes my eyes water and makes me feel inadequate or something. So my general attitude is to worry about what's actually in front of me, what I do have control over, and trying to be the best I can be in what I can actually do, not spending time worrying about what everybody else is doing. But I do wonder about stuff some of the time.

I don't really know, I never got into Enneagram crap, but I just took a quick quiz and I got type 4.

How would you rate your overall level of curiosity?
    High

What sort of things are you most curious about?
Science & medicine, people: their personal lives (not in a nosy gossipy sense), their past, why they feel what they feel, why they do what they do.

Do you keep your curiosities to yourself or share them with others by asking questions?
I ask a lot of questions, but I know that might annoy people or make me look like an idiot so I generally keep them to myself.

people, places, things. I love to find things out, explore, dig deeper, research. Many times, finding the info is the most fun part. Right now I'm getting into geneology and the sleuthing is very exciting.

    1. INFP

    2.4 (I think)

    3. average-high I guess

4.Why? for everything that happens I want to know why. Doesn't matter what it could be why is the earth round? or why did that person go that way? or why the hell do I not know why?

    5. depends on who I'm with and my mood, sometimes I'll go look it up online. If I need to find out someone's motive I'll probably ask them questions but if it's like hmm I wonder if the reason why people think this way has something to do with history I'd probably look it up online.
    In no likes experiment.

    that is all

i dunno what else to say so
