This is a case of political correctness going too far...

Allergies should be a far greater concern.

    This is ridiculous.

“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

Is.. is it used as a hypothetical to raise awareness? Such as -- "What if some children were green and couldn't drink water? If that were the case, that would be an issue that we should turn our attention to and address accordingly." I could kinda, sort of see that as a decent strategy.

I can't tell. I'm attempting to understand, both through that article and one that it links.

Or perhaps I give too much doubt-benefitting to people. Rereading this a few times, it looks like I am.

    ^Crap.

Brainwashing people to think a certain way?
I can see why you would endorse this.

    Only sorta/kinda, though.

Please tell me how ruminating over a hypothetical is an endorsement.

Fun fact: I don't endorse this.
