    - Nothing is absolute

    - Human nature has never changed and may never change

    - People aren't always as you believe them to be

    - Life is really for the taking

    - People generally aren't as you presume them

Perhaps they are more reminders or strengthening things I already know:

    - The power of focus in how I invest my time and the value of that in combination with persistence
    - Trust, caring and loyalty are really important
    - Perception is important and good work is only valued to the extent that it's visible
    - Some love never dies
    - Life is short
    - Meaningful relationships are of vital importance in helping us to enjoy life and get through difficult times
    - What seems like a really big deal today is not likely going to be a big deal six months from now
    - Things that stand the test of time are better than things that don't

About a million things. I feel like I'm learning huge lessons all the time.

-a lot of things about relationships
-that I can be happy without a romantic partner
-that I don't need to judge myself
    -that relaxation is ok
-to trust myself when I feel something is unfair
-that people are more trustworthy than I think, but that I can't expect people to live up to specific expectations in my mind
-I'm stronger (physically) than I think

    Also:

    - I've learnt what I want out of life, that is no children, lecturing politics at Masters level, and being a strategic management practitioner and business development advisor

    - I have learn basic hatha yoga moves

    - I've learnt that the only kind of woman I could ever be content with has to be of Indian origin.

    - I know what I need to do and avoid to be contented in life

    - I first reasoned to myself about 10 years ago that self-interest is the basic human motivation. I've had this confirmed dozens of times lately.

    - I learned how to curl and do it well enough to at least advance in a local tournament.
    - Machine quilting
    - Asking for help is really not as horrible as it always seemed in my head.
    - Working from home is not the hindrance to advancement I expected it to be.
    - I'm happy being a food snob.
I like to rock n' roll all night and *part* of every day. I usually have errands... I can only rock from like 1-3.
