I am afraid the cross-quarter between the Autumn equinox and the the Winter solstice fall in a different part of the year here.
Yes, most of these holidays will be reversed for you - on the opposite side of the wheel of the year. People can still celebrate them if they wish.
Hope is the denial of reality. It is the carrot dangled before the draft horse to keep him plodding along in a vain attempt to reach it. We should remove the carrot and walk forward with our eyes open. -- Raistlin Majere
That's so weird because the only time we ever turned off the lights, kept quiet and pretended we weren't home was when the Jehovah's witnesses were going door to door (the Mormons as well and I'm not even kidding or exaggerating here at all. My INTJ father is fearful of Christian people and so when they come to the door we all know to be completely silent...And he'll say in a loud whisper and hand/arm motions 'quiet, get down, mute the TV...' ha)
Through every forest, above the trees
Within my stomach, scraped off my knees
I drink the honey inside your hive
You are the reason I stay alive
Americans, like the rest of us, make the distinction between good and bad, but the emphasis is different.
So Americans make the distinction between sincere and phoney, where sincere is good and phoney is bad.
Whereas we don't make that distinction, rather we make the same distinction between amusing and boring, where amusing is good and boring is bad. And we have a saying that the Queen is not amused.
So while Americans are being good by being sincere, they appear to us as painfully boring.
And while Australians are being good by being amusing, we appear to Americans as pathetically insincere.
I really have to try Austrailia, then…
Sounds like a nice continent…

I say this as a reminder to myself, but this goes for everyone:
You can achieve anything you set your mind to, and you are limited only by how dedicated you are to succeed!
