Default Could you be a leader?

    Well could you?

    I don't think I could.
'One of (Lucas) Cranach's masterpieces, discussed by (Joseph) Koerner, is in it's self-referentiality the perfect expression of left-hemisphere emptiness and a precursor of post-modernism. There is no longer anything to point to beyond, nothing Other, so it points pointlessly to itself.' - Iain McGilChrist

"Suppose it didn't," said Pooh, after careful thought.
    Piglet was comforted by this.

    I wouldn't want to be.

I dunno I can lead small groups, but I gotta just take zero responsibility for other people's actions. If its a cool group of people though, and I feel like no one else wants it, I can take control and make things happen for sure.

I could very well be a leader of ideologies or action, but definately not the type of leader that organizes average social events.

To be a leader however of new revolutions in cosmology or something like that would be something I (with sufficient experience) could take great enjoyment with and feel a sense of achievement.

I pretty much want to be the leader that challenges all old boundaries and reshapes the architectures of everything!

    Could? Yes.

    Would I want to? No.

I do well enough in leadership roles for short periods, but the longterm stress would kill me. I'd do much better in advisory positions.

I've managed most of my life, and it isn't something that comes naturally to me.

But I do enjoy leadership positions. Kind of exhibitionist, in a way.

It is not something I ever aspired to per se but seems to have happened over the years.

Define lead for the purpose of this thread,

Are we talking about being the head of a group or someone just in charge of a situation?

What about just manipulating, directing and moving resources towards a goal?

Wouldn't that be leading in a way?

I can and I do lead. Everyone has their own style. As you might expect, I work behind the scenes and prefer to persuade people rather than just tell them how it is going to be.
