    People nowadays seem to actively look for things to criticize and somehow assert their intellectual or moral superiority in the process.

    To actually change the world is too much work.

    I wouldn't call them "unfounded" since they are really founded on subversive post-modernist criticisms of today's society.

    Hey! Something I know. This is based on "the miller, his son, and the donkey", it's an arabic fable pointing out that, no matter what, people can't all be satisfied.

    Yeah, kind of, depending on which version of the fable, but thanks for pointing that out. In some versions the donkey dies. An apt modern comparison would involve socialized medicine. The donkey in this case symbolizes the delivery of medical aid to the people. The critics are the government and its supporters. Finally the government simply takes over, and ends up killing the donkey.
