We want to be our own master, like God. We want to be our own God - talk about hubris.

To change our perception we might say, 'No God, no master', and find the very idea of mastering ourselves to be distasteful.

But let us put aside this little charade, and admit we believe our own perceptions and trust our own tastes.

But we can change our perceptions that way. What would happen without a master? Would we let fate master us instead?

    I agree.

To overcome typology is to overcome the hive mind, group think, need for social standing, etc, in deference to innate desire and instinct, and to accept that one of the most important things you will do is evolve beyond artificial structures and into being.

Mole couldn't do it without you. Or could he? He likes to think he can get by with a little help from his friends, but could he face the howling blizzard of being alone?

Can Mole be alone? Well, he can be alone underground where he feels safe, but above ground, he relies upon his friends. In fact he is rather attatched to his friends and is perhaps a little too easily led, particularly by Toad. But with Badger and Ratty to bring Mole back to reality, Mole gets by above ground, of course underground Mole is in his glory.
