Default Developing a New Personality System

it's sort of like Big 5, but the traits are different. as with Big 5, it operates on a scale rather than an either/or dichotomy like MBTI, so, to rate yourself, you say whichever of the two you relate to most and then rate that one a scale from 1-5. for example, if I am Practical(5) that means I have a very high preference for Practical compared to, say, a Practical(2) person who would be more moderate.

    Extroversion vs Introversion
this one is pretty self explanatory

    Academic vs Practical:
    Academic:
prefers discussing abstract concepts with less regard for practical application. willing to delay action for the sake of better understanding (the idea of taking 4-10 years of school makes sense to them. they're willing to take their time when they need to), enjoys "learning for the love of learning"
Correlated with: Intuitives, Ti, Ni, 5, 4

    Practical:
more concerned with "how" and "what's the point?", action oriented, want to get started quickly. may be very intelligent, but more focused on how to apply said material as opposed to understanding it for its own sake, willing to take time to analyze and conceptually grasp things as long as they see the point and can do so expediently
Correlated with: Sensors, Se, Te, 3, 7, 8, Sp dom

    Collectivist vs Individualist
    Collectivist:
concerned with society as a whole, aware of the opinions of others, adept at picking up on and interpreting social cues, strong desire for acceptance and to be a part of something larger than themselves, may be prone to being self forgetting, likely to adjust behavior to the group they are a part of, may have a strong desire to improve society, enjoy group rituals and traditions, enjoy team activities (such as team sports), may swing between conformist and counter-culture, prone to Socialist thinking
    Correlated with: Fe, 1w2, 2, 3w2, 9 So dom

    Individualist:
primarily concerned with the self, asks "how does this relate to me?", "what do I want?" "what's best for me?", concerned with self actualization, unlikely to make behavioral concessions for groups they are a part of, egocentric, typically capitalistic
    Correlated with: Fi, 4, 5, 7, 8, Sp dom

    Emotional vs Nonchalant
    Emotional:
experiences emotion more strongly, may cry in movies, in touch with the emotional state of a room, succeptable to praise and criticism
Correlated with: Feelers, 2, 4, 6, Sx dom

    Nonchalant:
doesn't feel very much, may experience delayed emotional responses (for example, if someone close to them dies, they may not feel grief for several days or even weeks), general "who cares?" atttitude to most things, getsover emotional issues quickly
    Correlated with: Thinkers, 5w6, 7, 8, 1w9, Sp dom

    Wild vs Civilized
    Wild:
instinctual, impulsive, thrill seeking, prone to excess, sexually unrestrained, may have trouble holding down a job, feel out of place in society, may have trouble planning for more than the short term, crave getting a rush, prone to counter culture affiliation
Correlated with: Se, 7, 8, Sx dom

    Civilized:
domestic, cooperative/"socially reasonable", fits in more easily in professional settings, temperate, down to earth, likes predictability and security, adept at long term planning, financially responsible
Correlated with: Te, Si, 1, 3w4, 6w5, 9w1, Sp dom
