Default What age was the best year of your life?

What was the best year of your life so far? And if you care to share why that was the best year of your life, please feel free to! I'm curious to see if a lot of people will choose an age during their college years...

For starters, I think mine was 21. I let go of a lot of the hang-ups I had about myself as a teenager, and I finally started to feel like I was a grown up in some ways It was like a whole new life.

21 and 22, so far! I was really coming into my own and super-involved at college, lots of new adventures with established friends, feeling more mastery in school, feeling more independent and self-sufficient, feeling like the future was wide open. But I also felt great as an 18-year-old starting college, an 8th grader finishing middle school, a 6th grader having just gotten onto the cheerleading squad, and pretty much in every year of elementary school.

So I'm thinking I'm about due for another really good year soon.

    18. First year in college. Freedom. First job. In love for the first time. It was wonderful even if I was utterly poor.

    37 give or take
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

Still waiting for it. But I will say childhood was wasted on me, I'm glad I'm past it now.....time will tell if I change my mind with age and it's difficulties.
