    Oh woe is me,
    I do not know.
    How do you do it,
    HBO?
I've had this ice cream bar, since I was a child!

    Each thought's completely warped
I'm like a walkin', talkin', ouija board.

archaic swirl in a pool of greens
through wisps of hue a hellish sheen
    are morbid angels in delight
to mock you of your sense's sight
a disconnect from soul to limb
a severance from your every whim

    Clothes on the floor
    Eyes on the mirror
    Feelings so sore
    bring it nearer

    Cloth against skin
    Muscles ache
    the weakness within
    all at stake

    Bad poetry needn't be brief...

I Don't Care About Your Wedding

    I will feign interest:
    What shade of unoriginal
is your pale dress of dullness
    frothing over
    your pudgy body?

    Oh, is that upsetting?

Well, I don't care about your wedding.

    The shapes of the buds
    which caress
    your table cloths
    and slender wrists
tucked numbly in front of you
    as if handcuffed in procession...
It's a death sentence to be dreaded

I have no joy for the newly wedded.

    Why pretty lamb, you feigned
    the passion to be petted
    to be coddled and protected
from the sure uncertainty of your own talents
The nag's race is what I'm betting

But I don't care about your wedding,

    the honeymoon nor the subsequent
    partnership of misery or merriment
    twiggy trees or lofty apartments
    baby screams or fools' achievements
the ring clad finger you will point the blame with -
I'm not well-wishing for your settling.

I do not care about your wedding.

    Sinking down into the nettles
    taking root but losing petals
    Once the blushing high
    hits a low
    It makes one wonder why
Forever was ever on the table
    How was she able...?
    It's the victory she's bedding.

No, I don't care about your wedding.

The triumph on your briefly rosy cheeks
a lifespan of some days and weeks
    cakes for symbols
    and veils to weep;
    It's all pretending.

I am not impressed with your silly wedding.

    The photographic moments
    staged vows, contrived elopements
    trading identity for security
    and remarkable for stability

    It's nothing I am coveting.
Often a star was waiting for you to notice it. A wave rolled toward you out of the distant past, or as you walked under an open window, a violin yielded itself to your hearing. All this was mission. But could you accomplish it? (Rilke)

    The Nightingale Sings
    ahem, cough, cough....

    The Nightingale Sings
For it is night and HER , the one I love from a distance, words have sent me soaring
    I am no George Soros
But yet I Soar by her kind words alone
Each flap of my heart a wing
the purplse sky my paradise to breeze through
As I glide in my mind's eye
across the green shores of a plutonian field of infinite galaxies bursting in the backdrop
of my flight and hovering barrel rolls over a lake of cloud
a bit of purple-white grabs on to my wings and drips off

I swing and barrel again and quickly dive down and wonder
    and hope and pray
she loves me with all of the heart
that beats as my wings and sustains my flight
for her mere words elate me like the divine oils are said to make a person holy

And when I reach the nadir I turn to approach the zenith
for even if she does not return my love
I would prefer to be foolishly hoping for it a thousand and million years
than to never have had her words heard by mine ears once

    For this King Leonidas died
For this my ancestors fought a thousand wars
so that I, a dejected soul in kingly-imagined garb could be pacified and brought to the sweet tremolo
    of a scribe-scholar-athlete lover
    from a distance

My only reward the gentle intellectual wheel which moves slowly through life
    A Kantian-Aristotelian gentle persistence
with a hearth fire deep within that burns brighter than Apollo's love for let's say Venus
    .....a sweet angel,
    a prophetess
"i shut the door and in the morning
    it was open
    -the end"

Olemn slammed his hammer and from the sparks on the metal of his anvil came the spheres of the heavens.

Sayrah blew life into the spheres and they moved. From her wheel she weaved the names of people in to mystery.

    Oh laugh?

Go on put forth the humour

    Maggots love a good corpse

But never mind, you tried, right?

    No one asked though,

You put it to them inanely,

    What did you expect?

    It's ok though,

    You'll never stop needing.

    That spotlight's pretty cold,

    Better raise the degree,

    Just don't burn, please?

I know you can't help it,

    But wish you would.

    It comes from insight,

    Not a drug.

    So don't overdose.

    You idiot.
'One of (Lucas) Cranach's masterpieces, discussed by (Joseph) Koerner, is in it's self-referentiality the perfect expression of left-hemisphere emptiness and a precursor of post-modernism. There is no longer anything to point to beyond, nothing Other, so it points pointlessly to itself.' - Iain McGilChrist

Suppose a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?"
"Suppose it didn't," said Pooh, after careful thought.
    Piglet was comforted by this.

    Failing poem
    A heartfelt song
Judge to correct all the words that sound wrong.

Where solar powered might from 7 burning suns
Yields to the brightness of the lights screwed in the road
Where warm incubated truth carefully nurtured deep inside
Gets a new cool hairdo from the windwhip on the ride.

    Correct and collect!
    And by all means protect
Our right to determine the worth of your soul.

When fathers and mothers join all of the others
And march to the beat cuz it drowns out their lovers'
And doubt's shadow cast is an icy vortex blast
That wipes out the life in us one by one.
    You hem me in -- behind and before;
you have laid your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.
