Chosen by myself (or forced by my mother): Swimming 3 years?(first to learn how to swim, later on training for competitive swimming) Ballet 2 years (always loved dancing, but was told I didnt have the right build for ballet, so I quit) Gymnastics 5 years (Im quite flexible and enjoyed that aspect of it, quit because of lack of time for school) Jiu-Jitsu 4 years(my crazy mother bullied the principal of my school in having classes at school, then forced me to take them as I was a blonde naive girl in her eyes ) Aerobics (=> mom, didnt last long.) Skiing (=> mom, in prep for the school trip to Austria) Riding horseback on and off for years ( love the animals, never had the cash to *really* learn how to ride properly though...still regret that ) Dance - both ballroom and hiphop- 4+ years (absolutely loved it, was my fav activity in the week while going to school, quit coz I finished the program and was going to Russia - and my ex was there) Belly Dance on and off ( self-taught for the most part, though I took one course with some friends; use online classes now) Yoga on and off ( use it now as warm up for belly dance)
Why? I just love sport. I wanted to try just about every one, and there were few I didn't like (Gymnastics I really disliked - it's really scary!). I suppose I also have a knack for sport and could pick up a new one pretty easily.

I've dreamt in my life dreams that have stayed with me ever after, and changed my ideas;
they've gone through and through me, like wine through water, and altered the colour of my mind.

Ballet, enforced by my mother when I was very young, though I wish she would've kept me in it.
Swimming, also enforced by my mother
Gymnastics, again, when I was young.
Hip-hop dancing because I wanted to be black (the first time), the second time because I love it.
Karate because I wanted to be tough.
Ice skating because I thought ice skaters were graceful and beautiful.
Cross country, mandated by my father
Skiing, because it's easy and I love the vibe of the slopes.
I've always hated sports though because I'm not athletic, but I am super competitive.
Haha...you guys are counting sports that you did during P.E. class? Sounds a bit silly considering these must not have been done very often.
Ballet - approx 14 years
Lyrical - approx 9 years
Jazz - at first on and off, then approx 4 years
My mom signed my brother and I up for ice skating lessons once, but we were terrible and only went for maybe three lessons.

I wanted to do lacrosse in high school, but it conflicted with my dance.
I've been skiing once and would love to try again.
