Do you have any experience with this?
For example, yesterday I found a YouTube playlist of fifty Weird Al songs - I hadn't listened to him in many years and I thought it'd be fun getting all nostalgic. I was playing World of Warcraft and during a song I kind of 'slipped', during which I heard maybe two bars of "Smells Like Nirvana" in my head. I thought, "Oh yeah, that song, how good of a musician Weird Al is."
THE VERY NEXT SONG WAS SMELLS LIKE NIRVANA.
I have had this personal phenomenon happen reoccurringly in my life (and to far greater extent), but until now my inner skeptic chalked it up to delayed cognition, perhaps during my 'slips' I fall into a sort of timeless passing, experiencing all perception in a jumbled rush of non-linear thought. This time, though, I positively fell out of this 'slip' prior to the next song coming on - which is something that habitually casts shadows of doubt over the phenomenon I experience. This, or I am far too prone at chalking coincidence up to grander structuring of the universe. This, or my conceptually working physical model for this phenomenon is true (preferable, obvi).
I would really enjoy any feedback on the subject - particularly if you've experienced anything more grand in scope. Don't be scurred of criticism
