    Catch?

The smiley meant mainly that I was not being 100 % serious.

    "So they are dying?"
A sentence expressed in a pointed way.

If you really want to help them, be more open. Don't try to control, but suggest.
Attempt to control makes at least me furious and completely reluctant to do anything.

I think that you take word control too literally.

I have already said that in the case of a direct control entire thing is doomed.

I have an extreme dislike towards the word "control".

Well, I have to say that I generally appreciate all willingness to help. If they really are going to die, good luck in saving their lives.

Giving suggestions about quitting bad habits can be a good thing, but people ultimately still have to make their own choices, no matter what someone suggests they do. I think most people, no matter what their type, tend to resent people (family or not) trying to control their life. I still get irritated at my mom when she treats me like I couldn't possibly remember simple tasks I need to do. I mean, I'm forgetful, I'm not saying she has no cause, but when it's not something that even directly effects her, she's gotta let me make my own mistakes or remember things. I think those are all very general true ideas, no matter what a person's personality is.
