I don't associate numbers with colours, but I do assign them with gender and character. I think based on their shape and the way the word sounds. Like 9 is feminine and image conscious; 7 is continental and posh; 6 is laid back, chilled out, kind, and somewhat masculine; 4 is feminine and sensitive; 2 is very masculine and to the point; 1 is similarly to the point, but more feminine; 8 looks feminine, but sounds masculine - unspecific: a jack of trades, a master of none; 5 is feminine and reliable; 3 is masculine, strong, a team player, never the individual in principle and instinct.

-How beautiful, this pale Endymion hour.
-What are you talking about?
-Endymion, my dear. A beautiful youth possessed by the moon.
-Well, forget about him and get to bed.
-Yes, my dear.
Mine has always been 5. I think it probably started because Speed Racer was my favorite show when I was little, and his car was #5. Whenever I've played on a sports team I've been #5. It also makes it more fun to wear my Donovan McNabb jersey
Everybody have fun tonight. Everybody Wang Chung tonight.
"How dreadful!" cried Lord Henry. "I can stand brute force, but brute reason is quite unbearable. There is something unfair about its use. It is hitting below the intellect." ~ Oscar Wilde - The picture of Dorian Gray
