New(-to-me) bike, for only $100! Bought it from my boss, who didn't want it anymore. (Offered her $150, expecting to negotiate up, and she refused!)

It's heavyish but still speedy and user-friendly -- way more user-friendly than my old bike, a road bike from the early to mid 1980s.

Taking it to the shop soon for some TLC. Poor thing has squeaky gears from lack of use!

It may need a new chain, which shouldn't be a big deal. 6/7/8 speed chains (7.1mm wide) are cheap. I use Rock N Roll Gold chain lube. For the last few years I've been running 1.9 Continental Traffic tires and am pretty happy with them.

I got a job, so my dad bought me a cheap little car. I have christened it Jimmy the Clown Car. Even my dad calls it Jimmy now. I'll pay him back in installments.

He also got me an early birthday present. The D&D Player's Handbook (5e), the Monster Manual, the Dungeon Master's Guide, and a big set of dice.

I have to figure out what to get him for his birthday. By then, my first paycheck will come in.

I also got a sausage and egg McMuffin today because I've been craving one for about a month. It didn't taste as good as I remembered. I feel like there was a point in time where my taste buds were more suited to fast food and junk food, but that time has passed. It always tastes better in my memory than in reality. It's really annoying.
