though not afraid of conventional fears, such as heights, snakes, spiders, sharp objects and dark alleys, I have had a lifelong fear of pressure cookers... probably because I can recall my mom treating hers with the same sort of fearful respect that my dad treated his acetylene torch with...

facing my fears, I took the advice of a coworker and bought one of the damned things and now must figure out how not to explode it

*heavy air quotes* "Vietnamese Iced Coffee" from a local coffee shop in my hometown. It was espresso with sweetened condensed milk, which was not Vietnamese iced coffee, but was really, really good.

    (It's a tuque, not a 'beanie'.)

I saw the first episode on a plane three weeks ago, and decided I wanted to see the rest. I used some money I got for Christmas to buy it yesterday.

Sandwich from the cafe in my office building. Turkey, bacon, avocado, lettuce, and honey mustard on a sub.

Pro tip: Don't mix honey mustard (which is mediocre) with all those other ingredients (which are delicious). The results don't realize their full potential and are therefore depressing.

(Next time I think I'll ask them to leave it off, and I'll put sriracha on it after. Or I'll ask for mayo and will mix sriracha with the mayo.)

Ooh sounds like you're making a yummy Thai curry. Hopefully you have fish sauce now?
