    You hem me in -- behind and before;
    you have laid your hand upon me.
    Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
    too lofty for me to attain.

    You are right though, I resent buying expensive take away coffee. I used to buy them all the time until i did a rekkie of how much I was spending per month on them. I changed that habit pretty much over night.

    Pretty butterflies though, worth plenty of shiney pennies....fabric bought for patchwork butterfly summer shorts (a little in advance)

    Kombucha, fresh from the tap and loose leaf Dragon Eye Dong Ding (oolong) tea. I actually bought two other teas (Genmaicha and another oolong) at another tea place as well, but didn't take a picture.

    Default The Lotus Eater

    At the Lotus Bay Yacht Club I ordered White Pyrnees Lamb Rump with potato and spinach torte, roasted honey glazed carrot batons and date jus, followed by Affogato:Vanilla ice cream served with Tuaca liqueur and short black.

    As I dined with the sound of happy Canberrans around me, I looked out over Lake Burley Griffin, across Spinnaker Island to Black Mountain in the distance, while the sail boats danced on the Lake.

    As I walked home across Lotus Bay on the warm summer's evening, I came across a troup of kangaroos who had come down to the Lake to slake their summer's thirst. One of them was bold and curious and allowed me to walk right up to him. And as he hopped off the ducks took off on the lake, leaving me alone in the dark on Lotus Beach.

    And here I sat, looking out over Lake Burley Griffin to Black Mountain in the distance http://www.cscc.com.au/dining/lotus-bay-restaurant/
    There is NOTHING--absolute nothing--half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats. Simply messing.
