His love for Jenny is so deep, pure, and unconditional that it is inspiring.

There are some moments that stick with me. A few of them....

I always appreciated the Jenny love.

But seriously, yes -- she always feels abandoned throughout the movie, and doesn't believe she can accept love, but in the end has to come to terms with it somehow.

EDIT: Funny moment: Watching it now and realizing that the guy who plays the school admin in the beginning ended up (although he gained some weight) playing Bernard on "Lost."

Love, at least in its initial stages, can be a debilitating weakness, as it could cause us to submit to the will of another, though in later developments, it could transform into hate, since if the one we so dearly love turns on us, or someone turns on them, this could be the catalyst, and it is hate that gives us power, power being the means by which we can impose our will and hence, we could gain our ultimate victory and freedom through the Force!

Well, that was rather random of me, but I just wanted to start a philosophical chain, following from the definition as well as the implications of love, using a dynamic cause and effect analysis. I do so dearly hope as well that it was good entertainment!

What you describe is attachment and not love. Sometimes the two coexist, but they are different processes. Attachment is a fixation on another to fulfill one's personal needs. This can lead to feelings of entitlement which, when not met, can lead to anger and hatred. Love is being invested in someone's well being, and there does need to be a sense of love for oneself as well as one's partner. Some attachment may be healthy, I'm not certain, but life is much more peaceful when love is the stronger impulse because it has no need to control outcomes.
