    Yup!

    Surgeons virtually have to be arrogant in order to perform their jobs. In addition, they fix up bodies largely when they're unconscious--y'know, like cars.

    Doctors? There might be some arrogance there. But depending on their exact specialty, they do directly interact with patients nearly as much as nurses do, so they do need a level of empathy.

    I work in social services, intersecting with psychology and social care, I think that its prone to attract some personality disorders, bound to be some psychopaths among them but more often neurotics, authoritarians and the pathologically unreflective.
