    Victor Shortus from Canberra, Australia.

I am the only Shortus in all of Canberra. So when I go, it's the end of a species.

It's true, I am an endangered species.

So it is only common sense to look after me - listen to me, cosset me, forgive me my faults encourage my wildest thoughts - but most of all keep me company.

Of course I could use a pseudonym - but then you would never know who I am - I would never be my true self with you - I would become absurd.

Whereas, flying under my true colours my true self becomes apparent to me and to you.

Real names? I was already thinking people were exposing themselves too much revealing their contacts in all those name-a-person threads you've started. And this is no offense. I've got a phobia of revealing how I network socially in real life.. I don't want anyone finding out how I 'work' in my network, and how to work me. Security by obscurity.

A manifestation of some jungian function or the lack of it on my part?

What does it take to openly share such information? Trust, Fe?

    Don't take it wrong, I'm curious about a phenomenon I don't understand.

Alright, I can feel the pressure.

    It's Euan.

That's it, mystique gone.......but at least you all have something to scream out now when in the throes of passion with yourselves.
Why do we always come here?

    I guess we'll never know.

It's like a kind of torture,
To have to watch this show.

Actually, I'm just finding it pretty wierd that people like scanty and wolf actually have real names. Sounds silly, but I'm so used to referring to them by their usernames that it's just funny. But there you have it.

    My name is Falcarius Mark.

I am more or less named after a now retired Anglican priest, who was awarded a Lambeth Doctorate of Divinity by the Archbishop of Canterbury 'in recognition of his contribution to the development of inter-religious co-operation and understanding throughout the world'. In virtue of the fact I was named after a priest, I think it is pretty safe to assume I was also technically named after the author of the second Gospel.
