That must be what the T in ENTP stands for.

Presumably, therefore, the Captain has festicles instead.

    (hey, they're very festive!)

Elisheva or Elisheba (אֱלִישֶׁבַע in Hebrew) was the wife of Aaron, the forefather of The Kohanim, the Jewish priests, in The Bible. Accoring to later Jewish tradition, she is buried in the Tomb of the Matriarchs in Tiberias.

In Hebrew, Eli means "my God." Sheva can mean either "oath" or "sustenance." ("Sheva" also means seven in Hebrew). The name Elisheva means either "My God is my oath" (I swear by my God) or "My God is my sustenance."

According to some interpretations, Elisheva was the same as Puah, one of the righteous midwives mentioned in Exodus Chapter One. Those who hold this interpretation believe that her position as ancestress of the priestly caste was a reward for saving the Hebrew children.

The names Elisabeth, Elizabeth, Elspeth, Eliseva, Elsabe, Ilsabe, Isabel, and Isabella, and their Arabic equivalent Al-Isabeth, are derived from Elisheva. See Elizabeth for more names derived from Elizabeth.

Pssht, I just reread the post, and it was pretty hilarious, it made for a really awesome visual.

Edahn, I wonder if you could do me a favor and give us a rendering of "Aaron" in the Hebrew script?

    Gladly,

The meaning of the name "Aaron" is unclear. Possible meanings are:

    1. Pregnancy - In Hebrew - הריון. In Ancient Egyptian herr is to conceive and hrara is conception.

    2. From the mountain - In Hebrew הר - 'HAR', which may refer to place of his death.

    3. High mountain - In Arabic هارون - 'HAROUN' or 'HARUN'.

Damn, I must have missed that if you mentioned it already.

I'm normally rather good at connecting names, especially if they are Indo-European based. Although I have slightly more difficulty with connecting Slavic names. I'm normally good at connecting Romance and Germanic versions of names, and sometimes Hebrew.

I'm also good at connecting the origins of German words to their English counterparts. Linguistics is interesting.
