Cool Get to know fellow forum members

I'm sure we've all done these "get to know you" exercises at some point on the first day at school or at a work retreat or whatever. They're usually pretty silly and dumb yet oddly effective so as an exercise in getting to know/be known by your fellow forum members you can participate or not as you wish. Feel free to answer as many or as few questions as you like or just a particular section.

What was your favorite food when you were a child?
    What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?
If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be?
If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?
If you were immortal for a day, what would you do?
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
If you were reincarnated as an animal/drink/ice cream flavor, what would it be?
If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose?
Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?
Have you ever had something happen to you that you thought was bad but it turned out to be for the best?
What was one of the best parties you’ve ever been to?
What was the last experience that made you a stronger person?
What did you do growing up that got you into trouble?
What do you miss most about being a kid?
What is your first memory of being really excited?
What story does your family always tell about you?

edit: shortened it to what I thought might be some of the more interesting questions
For all that we have done, as a civilization, as individuals, the universe is not stable, and nor is any single thing within it. Stars consume themselves, the universe itself rushes apart, and we ourselves are composed of matter in constant flux. Colonies of cells in temporary alliance, replicating and decaying and housed within, an incandescent cloud of electrical impulses. This is reality, this is self knowledge, and the perception of it will, of course, make you dizzy.

One of the Future Diary volumes. I can't recall which one. I'm thinking of an incident, but I can't recall what volume it was in... Oh well. I'm also wondering why songs weren't made an option for an answer to this question.

Nothing immediately pops out at me
    What sound do you love?

    If… Questions

If you could throw any kind of party, what would it be like and what would it be for?
I have no desire to throw a party
If you could paint a picture of any scenery you’ve seen before, what would you paint?
I already paint, and I paint mountains the most, at this point
If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be?
Uggh. I really don't know. As for phase in life, College may have been my favorite phase/period. But personality-wise there was so much I hadn't figured out yet, so I wasn't able to engage on levels I wished for. Early 30's, maybe.
If you knew the world was ending in 2012, what would you do differently?
Probably spend all of my money that is in savings, via traveling / not working
If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?
I've never had mentor types / can never answer this question
If you could witness any event past, present or future, what would it be?
Wow, I don't know. There are so many periods of time past, throughout the centuries, that I think it would be awesome to see/experience. But then I think that I'd likely be one of those who would be persecuted, or who was barely scrapping by (which would be the giant vast majority), and any idyllic notions I have of time past would be ... very idyllic. No particular single event that crosses my mind.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
    [B]
If you had to work on only one project for the next year, what would it be?
If you were immortal for a day, what would you do?
/ question doesn't make sense. Guess you mean if nothing could kill me? I dunno... I don't think I'd do anything different, as I already do what I desire to do/ take certain risks
If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to?
    meh
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
meh. This ties into the mentor/role model question, I tend not to elevate most people in my head so don't have a huge compulsion to meet famous people
If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
Buy property outside of this country, set up a nature center, start traveling quite a lot
If you were reincarnated as an animal/drink/ice cream flavor, what would it be?
    A bird
If you could know the answer to any question, besides “What is the meaning of life?”, what would it be?
    [B]
If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose?

    Personal Questions

Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?
When in my teens / when really awkward, Chelsea Clinton a few times
What do you want to be when you grow up?
    Nothing
When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
    Usually just veg
What would you name the autobiography of your life?
    My Life (lolz)
What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life?
Too many to list out. I have tons of music I love, depending on my mood

    Personal History Questions

Have you ever had something happen to you that you thought was bad but it turned out to be for the best?
I tend not to want to hold onto the past / what doesn't work out / what doesn't work the way I would like, so am always trying to look ahead and do what I can with the variables I have. So yeah.. you can make what you want with your life, thus good can always be present in the future.
What was one of the best parties you’ve ever been to?
blech. Parties, none. But large social outings, Thanksgiving weekend with lots of people out in Indian Creek, Utah, camping, climbing, campfires, thanksgiving meal around the campfire, drinks, laughter
What was the last movie, TV show or book that made you cry or tear up?
re-watching Six Feet Under, and the last 10 minutes of the final episode
What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?
    Shaved my head
What was the last experience that made you a stronger person?
    Shaving my head? lol
What did you do growing up that got you into trouble?
I was a good kid. The most that got me into 'trouble' was talking back at my parents or being difficult / not automatically agreeing, so they'd then snap at me
When was the last time you had an amazing meal?
    This past Sunday
    What’s the best/worst gift you’ve ever given/received?
Best? No idea. I've gotten a lot of great gifts over the years. Worst? Probably a few 'knickknack'/decorative items my mom has given me, that weren't my style at all but she meant well of course in giving them, thinking I'd like them

    Summer Vacation?
What is your first memory of being really excited?
Probably tied to Christmas season / Christmas morning
What was the first thing you bought with your own money?
    Probably some clothing?
When was the last time you were nervous?
Not sure. I tend to have minor anxiety twinges fairly frequently, but it's not sustained and it's more like background noise at this point / doesn't really impact things much anymore. I guess that's most heightened when I'm mulling over how I feel and if I need to bring something up to someone.
What is something you learned in the last week?
That a vote for legalizing marijuana in my state was on the docket
What story does your family always tell about you?
    They don't
At what age did you become an adult?
I've always been one. / nah, I don't know, I think I started actively thinking of myself as an 'adult' beginning fairly recently?

    @UniqueMixture Answer them yourself too.

What was your favorite food when you were a child? I honestly don't know, it didn't vary much.
What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity? PC and... I'm not sure I did any outdoor activities.
If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be? 25.
If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor? Older me.
If you were immortal for a day, what would you do? I'd get a disguise and rob all banks in the neighborhood.
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet? A CEO who I'd know would hire me.
If you were reincarnated as an animal/drink/ice cream flavor, what would it be? How the hell do I know, I don't believe in reincarnation.
If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose? The dude from Fallout 1 or 2. Or Hitman. Or the player from CoD - he never dies.
Which celebrity do you get mistaken for? ...None?
Have you ever had something happen to you that you thought was bad but it turned out to be for the best? Sure. I was able to shift the situation to a positive outcome.
What was one of the best parties you’ve ever been to? I've never been to a party.
What was the last experience that made you a stronger person? I did physical exercise.
What did you do growing up that got you into trouble? Didn't listen to what others were telling me to do.
What do you miss most about being a kid? Better food, friendlier attitude of the family members, vacation outside the city. Although, when I think about it, I don't miss anything significant.
What is your first memory of being really excited? I have no idea. Maybe when I bought my first PC. I don't remember "first times" well.
What story does your family always tell about you? Family isn't close, so it differs from member to member. Ranges from "I always been so good and lawful and awesome" to "War was so terrible, I had so many terrible experiences, even though I wasn't at the war, I was only a cook in an army settlement that never got even close to the war" to "It was so good 50 years ago, now it's terrible" to... That's all, I believe.

Some pretty odd questions you have here.
