I think "prized" possessions mean something you value and would have a hard time separating with. I don't think people have posted this kind of items.

To use my interpretation - I've none. Well, some items would be hard to get rid of, but I'd be okay with selling it or leaving it behind if I moved somewhere.

I love the clothes I've made, music/books I've accumulated, but all that's replaceable, so I won't list it here.

Things I shared with my [now deceased] brother growing up:
    -Ghostbusters VHS
-Atari 2600/games [yes, I still play it/suck at it.. the games are made so you never beat the 1st level. Ever. That's my conclusion]

Some things my brother gave to me over the years:
-this hideous piggybank my brother bought me after breaking into mine/having an attack of conscience
-his boyscout Swiss Army knife [actually has been very useful in some situations]

Things my [also deceased] father gave to me:
-this [now grayish] pink bear he gave to me en route to the hospital for my tonsillectomy on my 3rd birthday
-his U.S. Navy suit jacket - which I plan to have tailored to actually fit, cuz #1 I think it'd be cool looking to wear & #2 I think it'd be better to use it than just have it to ''look at'' - & that's how he'd want it.
    -U.S.N. anchor belt buckle
-collection of coins he brought home from his travels, which I added to on my own, when visiting Spain, UK, & Morocco.
-ornate locking jewelry box [that looks like a treasure chest!] he bought/had personalized for me while in the Philippines, claiming something about a retired pirate making it.

    Misc:
-my guitar [ISTP uncle built it]
-a photo of my family, one beautiful fall day.

I don't NEED any one of these items, and ultimately if my house burned to the ground with these items inside, I wouldn't be devastated. Worse things can happen, definitely. But these do hold more sentimental value over anything else I own, obviously.

Another possession I prize is my car/having a car. It's freedom. At the same time, the upkeep/bills/fuel is always a bitch. I also miss just having a good bike, so there's some dissonance there.

@RaptorWizard- your post makes me miss my blender. Mother's retard cat tripped me/it smashed.
    May it rest in pieces.

You tell me, you said you miss the bike.

A practical reason if you're low on self-control: you won't be tempted to use the car.

Self control would be my middle name, if I even had one.

My bike is broken, so, yeah I have both, but the poor Schwinn's been locked away for awhile. </3

You can always repair it or buy a new one.

I think bikes are cool in the busy cities, like NY. Can get anywhere much faster than with a car... I've seen and heard about those daily traffic jams too much.

A small roe deer antler (2,5 cm long, first year, complete condition.) I found in the Scottish Highlands when I was 8/9 years old. Apart from it being really small, the find is also quite special in the sense that a roe deer will almost always pick up and chew their own antlers for calcium, so unless they dropped during flight it is unlikely to find one. And 2.5 centimeter is still especially small even for a first year.

So, several of the items I've purchased overseas, a few of my journals, my paintings, photographs (well, I guess that means the hard drive of my computer, seeing as my photos are all stored on there now), maybe my leather jacket, lol.

The only gadget I consider 'prized' is my camera/lenses, although even it is replaceable. Maybe my oboe, too, because it is valuable (even though I haven't played it for 16 yrs).

Basically, 'irreplaceable' is what I associate with most prized.
This is what I'd say. My nostalgic things include a small doll collection because these were given to me throughout my life by family members, some of whom have passed away. My instruments and technological hardware that contains my data might be my most important. I love my books too, but actually hope to eventually have them digitized anyway.
