Default do you feel uncomfortable walking into any stores?

I feel pretty uncomfortable going into the store Ulta (Ulta.com - Cosmetics, Fragrance, Salon and Beauty Gifts). Everytime I go there to buy my favorite shampoo/gel (DevaCurl), there are women who wear way too much makeup and I am the only guy who is in the store.

are there any places you feel uncomfortable walking into?

Besides any women's department store, I feel pretty weird walking into a liquor store... just get this feeling of big-brotherly "you might be a criminal" vibe from the cashiers.

The ones that have people in them are most intimidating.

    Agreed.

I feel uncomfortable in most Canadian grocery and convenience stores, walmart, liquor stores, bars, casinos, malls, the little deli downstairs in my building when it's busy, many types of restaurant when alone, most department stores, some gun shops... Really, just about everywhere, but there are plenty of exceptions for places that I'm familiar with.

fc: That DevaCurl definitely works. However, I can't tell if it is supposed to be pronounced Deevah or Dehvah?

Not that I remember. Irritated maybe when they've gotta ask me if I'm doing ok. Or some such inane comment. Fortunately it's mostly confined to North America.

I don't like walking into shops with the whole bitch vibe going on, y'know when the shop assitants give you that 'these are all way too expensive/fashionable/small for you' look and they smirk. If you were to measure my average hair flicks each day, you would find that they go up significantly in those shops xD I think it's all a ploy to get me to buy expensive shoes to make myself feel better adn it works! I'm also not too keen on little dark shops which smell bad and the one shop assitant in there is staring at you the entire time
