Thread: That's so (insert your type here)!

I honestly don't think of my type outside these forums anymore. I used to, back when it was all new to me, but now I would be a bit concerned if I did something and immediately thought, "Gee, that's so INTP!"

I worry sometimes that typology is a slippery slope... that by subscribing to a particular type we lose a part of ourselves. So no, I prefer to say, "that's so man!"

I guess I'm these types. Whatever.

    • Just recently re-organized a defunct community watch, because there have been some jackasses breaking into unlocked cars (among other things) and something needs to be done about it. We've had some 'vigilantees' trying to scare them off, but they've just been, you know, also scaring the rest of the neighborhood--so we've gotta get organized.
    • Begrudgingly accepted a favor from a friend of mine, who I've helped significantly, multiple times, in the past. I kinda hated doing it, because I'm not one to want to receive. I rationalized it as withdrawing a lil' bit from the social bank. Whatever.
    • Had originally billed a lecture of mine as some academic, technical affair--but turned it into a pretty passionate speech about personal growth, focusing very much on the 'why' rather than the 'how' behind the material.

I had no idea that I came across as so strongly impatient.

    I suggest locking them.

Whenever I respond to something, I explain things step by step and in a detached manner. Then no one reads it.

    I think that's a stereotypical INTP thing.

Reviving this thread because I found a story in a podcast that is just so incredibly ExxJ 1 (IMO):

Double Take | Kevin Allison Presents: RISK! Live Show & Podcast!

The story is called "Not On My Watch". Favorite part that doesn't involve a spoiler involves a flashback to when the narrator was in 3rd grade? 2nd grade? and got in trouble for getting involved in a fight, when the only way he got involved was by trying to break it up. An adult told him he was going to the principal's office, and he said "NO I'M NOT. I STAND ON THE LEGS OF JUSTICE."

    Paging @Hard, lol
    and it's nice enough to
