Because your manly tears have the same effect on me that your 'high on chocolate' does. It's the yin and yang of Oaky.

    Depends on the celebrity.
If it's an artist that I like and they are still putting out material, I'd probably feel like 'well it sucks that they died'.

Otherwise though, everyone has to die. I can't say that I never feel anything because some times a circumstance will get me, and it might even be irrationally, but ultimately everyone does die and once it happens, it's done.

I'm afraid my monkeysphere is rather limited and does not include random celebrities.

I was totally mad when I thought Johnny depp died the other day because I saw it on Facebook. Why do people do that! So fucking lame!

But yeah it sucks to be made aware of someone in any way and then finding out they died. It feels the same if its just someone I've only seen in movies or someone else I barely knew but connected with who they were in even a small way.

For some reason Steve Jobs death really affected me. Typically, I think it's sad, but it's just more information rather than something to be taken personally.
And so long as you haven’t experienced this: to die and so to grow,
you are only a troubled guest on the dark earth
