# Thread: favorite number and why

1. there is something about 3 and 7. for some reason they serve a big(invisible) role in me thinking numbers 1-10, maybe because:

3+7=10
7-3=4
7/7 and 3/3 = 1
3+3=6
3+3+3=9

now we easily arrived from 3 and 7 to 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9 and 10. 1+1=2, 4+4=8, 5 is half of 10 and voilá, we got 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10.

2. Threesome?

3, that's a pretty magic number.

(Or more).

For me, 3 seems to represent the start or emergence of something significant, be it a trend, pattern, social circle, group, or shape (e.g. triangle). It's 'more than a pair.' It's when the tea leaves actually begin to tell you something.

edit: Third post on this page that mentions 3 as a favorite number. That has to mean something, man. I'm gonna go watch some Glenn Beck and see what he has to say about it.

also 4. i confuse 4 with A, i don't know why. kynestesis* is that it? i don't know
also 7. but maybe more 5.
and i really dont like 1. or 3. or 2. and not 8 nor 9. whatever.

8. 7,041,757,898,200,960,193,617,914,702,466,542,659, 236,800 (7 quadridecillion…): lowest common multiple of all numbers up to 101. (I made it 101 because then cool numbers like 1111 and 111111 and their multiples would go into it. Lowest common multiple up to 100 is 69,720,375,229,712,477,164,533,808,935,312,303,556 ,800).
I call it "great-zero", because like zero, so many numbers go into it.

9. Mine has always been 3. I'm not sure why?? I like groups of 3 tho. I like the way it looks. It feels balanced.

10. I have long liked the number 6.

Maybe it's because it's divisible by the two first prime numbers?
