I voted no preference, but that's only because I can be either, depending on my schedule. I just generally have a lot of energy, regardless of the time of day.
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

I, too, wish I could take a nap around 1400-1500 every day. My most awake/alert/useful time is 0200-0300. I also tend to preempt my alarm, but I never want to get up until long after I've hit the snooze a bunch of times (or listened to the phone beep numerous times).
I guess you're right. I do like the night better, it's just that my job doesn't allow for me to go to bed late and sleep in. I tend to just get used to waking up (even on weekends) at about 6-7am. Maybe I need to find a new job with odd hours...

Can I change my answer to night owl?

I'm forced to keep daylight hours, too. Many of us are, and there are not enough good jobs that are available for our best hours.

It varies. I often get up early, but I take naps during the day.

Default Are you a morning bird or a night owl?

In other words, are you a morning person or a night person?

I myself am definitely a night person. I'm just not the same in the morning, I'm not energetic and I feel bad. At night, it's a different story. I gain energy throughout the day, and have the most right before bed. Sometimes it's tough for me to fall asleep.

BOTH! I wake up fully tactical, ready for action. I run myself through whatever I need to that day, take a power nap (15 min.) in my chair at lunch, and one in the PM (7 PM) if I need it, and then I'm ready for round 2 at night. If I am really into something, I can work tirelessly on it for days on end. That's harder to do for stuff I'm not into, but I can if needed.

I'm more of an early bird. Up and looking for worms at dawn, I like it.

    Definitely a night owl.
    I'm nocturnal to boot.
    Well.. not today.
    Definitely out of sorts.

But yeah.. I'm not a morning person at all.
Very slow to get my mind going/get focused/motivated. I need at least an hour or so to process being conscious again.

    And interaction in the morning?
    [Unless you're my cat]
...Get the fuck away from me. Out of the question. I hate everyone when I first wake up.
However, I never make them aware of this.
    Stupid empathy.
I just make more of an effort to avoid human contact in general at that point.

    I need more coffee now.
    Excuse me.

::edit:: nevermind the coffee; I'm going to bed.
    G'night, kids.
