Nope. ALL FAT AMERICANS. GAME OVER.
Maybe it'd be more like "The Biggest Loser", then. Hard to stay fat when the world has ended.

I've been watching first season of Lost again (almost done) and honestly part of me thinks it would be cool, despite all the crap.

I remember reading Joel Rosenberg's "Guardians of the Flame" series when I was a teenager, where a gaming group of college students becomes their characters in another world, and how the wizard is an engineering student back here bemoaning the loss of opportunities to apply his knowledge (everything is so high tech, but he's more interested in broad civil engineering and the creation of basic technology).... and in the end he basically ends up recreating a lot of tech over there in the fantasy realm, changing the game drastically.

There's something to be said about being put in a situation where you only have basic tools to work with, and you essentially can use your broad smarts to survive, where in modern society you have to become a specialist in something after prolonged study to contribute much of value. I feel like the days of Da Vinci and the other philosopher/scientists and "wild west" invention are long over.

It would be kind of cool to start over.

This is hardly a question. I'd go with the 15, and we'd make more.

Well, of the two of us, only one goes to the gym... and it isn't me!
So you'd be better than me at following Rule #1 (Cardio), post-Apocalypse.

    I call Sayid! He's mine!

That sounds like a really, really cool series idea. (I love that kind of detail: what does an engineer do when placed into a magical fantasy realm?) Do they hold up well, or were they better when you were a teenager? Should I read them?

Absolutely! I would love to learn a craft, be part of that division of labor. It sounds like a really satisfying way to live. (No alienation of labor!)

What role would you take? (And in our little TypeC colony, could I be the blacksmith?)
