Default ask a clinically crazy person

I was dxed schizoaffective a year and a half ago, and if you want my perspective on things ask. though i must warn you i am pretty stable at the moment so no real bizarre thoughts. if you're scared of someone with mental illness you shouldn't be, especially me I have never been violent towards others or fucked up anyone's life.

What symptoms effect you the most? Are they controlled to your liking by meds? do side effects of the meds bother you?
Does it come and go, or is it pretty steady?
I know that the DSM says there is no known cause, but do you feel it had a cause for you?

    Thanks, Chckz!

delusions now but in the past it was depression, um it comes and goes for me but i'm sure for others it's constant, I think the cause for me was i abused drugs in highschool. side effects don't bother me too much but i don't like the fact that i have to take meds either, to tell the truth i usually forget to take them.

    Weird

Terrible things happen to good people every day.
Consequentially, I am not one of the good people.
I am one of the terrible things.

Really like the op purplz, breaking down barriers...i approve!

Not sure i have any questions though, just wanted to give you props for this.

Sadly people are very afraid of anything they deem 'mental health issue' when the truth of the matter is the majority of people suffer from some form or other at at least some point in their life and possibly more than once. The stigma is terrible and leads to marginalisation.

I for one am glad we are friends.

Kinda up in the air right now whether it was a misdiagnosis or not. I'm inclined to think it was.
