Default What is the most "ideal" age to be?

What age do you think most people would prefer, to me it seems a lot of children and teenagers want to be young adults and middle age/older adults also desire young adulthood, I would narrow it down to about 25 years old, the peak of strength and maturation of the frontal lobes(although the peak in strength plateaus for a decade).

I think most people would desire to be around 25-30.

I think most would give the answer that reflects when they believe they were happiest, which of course is heavily colored by nostalgia and failing/selective memories. Some women I've known seem to become upset as they approach 30, as there's a perception that they are getting older and less attractive as they move further from age 20. Based on what you've said, 25 seems the most logical choice.

Maybe college age. Freedom and independence. Few to no responsibilities. Having fun all the time.

Whatever age I happen to be at the moment. I wouldn't want to go back to an earlier age if it meant losing all I had learned between then and now. If I go back to age 40, I lose salsa dancing!

    35-40 so far.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

    you forgot
    - either living with your parents or just scraping by on rent
    - no financial independence
    - living off of mac n' cheese and ramen noodles

I think I will be much happier once I have a steady income and control over my life.

This sounds pretty close. Being in your 30's with your life on track is quite ideal. You aren't so young that your ideas are colored by naiveté, you are most likely independent, confident, but still young enough to be pretty healthy in many cases. Although, I had migraines in my 30s and hadn't achieved the success I wanted, but I think for most it is an ideal time. I think I was my most physically attractive in my 30's, but it's not so bad now either. I'm the happiest personally at my age which isn't too much past the ideal I suggested.
