Default I feel like an Ethnic Minority

    Home sweet home.

    Thornton Heath, in Croydon, Surrey

I'm white but, I'm used to it.

I've been with east-indian girls and black girls but, it wasn't until I was 23 that I've actually been with a white girl.

Meah, it is what it is, truth be told, I rarely think about it.

Croydon is more than fifty percent white. about sixty percent, apparently.

It looks to me like you picked a picture of some kind of market day which probably attracts a lot of the ethnic minorities. I'm curious as to what your point is.

I live in Southern USA and my parents are Northerners. I feel like an ethnic minority sometimes too. Especially when I hear people say "go home Yankee" and even had a friend say, quite seriously, "if your family is from the North, you will never belong here". The fuck?

That's not a market, that's a festival/street party, that's held every year in my neighbourhood of Thornton Heath, in North Croydon.

In-fact, I know the guy who runs it, he's like Cypriot though.

I want to play the festival this year, I should just get in touch with the stage organiser, it's actually comming up soon so; if I'm to play the Thornton Heath festival 2012, I better act soon; Truth be told, the reason why I haven't acted sooner is; My guitar is not set up; I have old strings and it's starting to take it's toll on my tone. I haven't really been able to raise the £50 to have it set up. Bills and stuff taking all my money.

There you go. It looked a lot like the Notting Hill Carnival to me, except not in Notting HIll and less colourful. Lots of ethnic food stalls. If you based the ethnic/racial makeup of Notting Hill on what you see at the Carnival once a year, you'd be off the mark. So, still not sure what the point of this thread is.

    Oh...

I'm seeing if anyone else feels like an ethnic minority.
