Default Do you tend to hold the steering wheel with one hand or both hands?

And if only one hand, do you have your other hand on the gearshift even if it's not manual?

And also if only one hand, do you tend to have your hand placed on the top of the wheel or on the side or bottom?

Do you find you tend to have one hand hanging out the window, as well?

That is all. Most inane thread idea ever. (Or is it?)

Its hard to do drive bys with both hands on the wheel.

I appreciate that you yankees have your steering on the wrong side of the car and use automatic transmissions, nothing like a real driving experience in which you'd need a hand on the transmission and the other on the wheel.

I hold the steering wheel with both hands. I have a Suburban and I am finally at a point where I feel confident.

I always use both hands because the last thing the world needs is for someone like me to die because yes people I am so epically special, at least as special of a life as everyone else so axiomatically we should all be using both hands on the wheel!

Yeah, this is me too. I hold it at the bottom with my right hand, unless I'm navigating a lot of bends.

I only have my other hand on the gear stick if I'm in a manual and I don't have my arm on or out the window.
