    Default Are you intimidated by other forum users?

    Are you reluctant to post in certain threads for fear of the reaction of other posters?

    Please explain.

    Yes.

    Being dragged into a conflict and having your words twisted coz you happen to hold a different stance isnt exactly my idea of a good time.

    There's a certain female member that has been exhaling a nauseating negative energy - intimidating isn't an accurate word, but the effects are similar.

    Yes, i voted sometimes.

    There is a particular thread which i do not like posting in because the replies are always so carnal.

    Other times i am reluctant to post because 'feelers' in general are not considered to hold valid views in certain area's.

    But mostly, no.

    Carnal = intimidating ?

    I hadn't considered that. I avoid sleazy threads because they are sleazy. Not because I'm intimidated. Also boring threads because they are boring, etc, etc.

    I'm specifically looking for your feelings about "aggressive" posters. Sexual-harassment is certainly a valid reason to be intimidated too.

    I will stay out of threads created by 'aggressive' people on a topic I know we will have opposite views on, to stay out of the drama, and to not trigger the protectiveness (as a thread owner) of that person. Especially if the thread was created to prove something, or when the mission of said thread is clear, and the passion of the thread owner for this subject is blatantly clear. it isn't like we will ever agree a status quo or agree to disagree, or even find middle ground and enrich each others perspectives at that point, and I do not feel like volunteering as a scapegoat for their frustration wrt the topic.

    Intimidated isn't the proper word. Grossed out sometimes is.
