Lot of violent, angry ENTJs in this thread.
    Reign it in, fellas.

Let's list "not understanding internet sarcasm" as hobby.

    Probably wise in your case.

I voted "Sometimes," but I wouldn't actually call it intimidation... more like just general reluctance to get involved in a discussion that is just going to upset me and not serve any other useful purpose.

this forum is very tame compared to other places on the internet i've frequented. we had anonymous posts that were there for the sole purpose of shit talking other members, and people were pretty brutal. so i'm pretty jaded or toughened up or something at this point. i'm just not used to interacting with straight guys or republicans on the internet so that's the hardest part of this forum.

I'll join the consensus. It's not fear, it's a sense that getting engaged in a conversation with certain posters is a time-sink that I won't get anything out of. It isn't infrequent that certain threads end up dominated by people of this sort, which puts something of a quarantine on them for me. I'm not afraid to debate people, and I'm not afraid to lose a debate (if your ego can take it, losing a debate is an amazing way to learn and evolve), but I'd rather not get into angry, heated nonsense or have someone constantly condescend to me. I will admit I've gotten a little steamed up a time or two (only human), but in those cases I do try to apologize to regain a sense of civility.

I'm confused. What is Option 4? I only see 3 in the poll. Was it removed, or is this a reference to another post I must've missed?

I also get the feeling I'm not the Z being referred to.

    Good question. Let's discuss that.

But first we need to define nitpicking. Then, ''so much''.

It was "Zarathustra". I think someone had a sense of humour failure and removed it.

Yes. Lark, Salome, DiscoBiscuit, Zarathustra, and InvisibleJim when he used to post here.

I'm sure there are others but those were the ones who came to mind.
