So I learned from @Viridian today. (I never actually played the game.) But when I watched part of a play-through on YouTube, I related to her almost 100%.
If you are even remotely a fan of Japanese RPG's, play it ASAP: its a gaming imperative! If necessary, buy a used PSP (I hear it has the most complete edition) or Playstation 2.

Its been several years since I've read the book, but I remember strongly identifying with Benjamin the donkey from Animal Farm.

I have a PS2, and I do love Japanese RPGs*, but I stopped buying new games a year or so before this one came out, and I never got around to trying it. I'm tempted to try it out just because I relate to Mitsuru so much -- she may have even pushed Hermione Granger off the top of my Characters I Relate To list -- so we'll see if I end up having time later on.

*Favorites: FFs 9 and 10 (and 7, to a lesser extent), and Chrono Cross

Oh jeez, I had completely forgotten that book existed. I related to Boxer the horse.

But I think the FF7 is better,I like that villain in FF7.

I discovered all characters I posted in this thread are evil? (sociopath?)
But I hate the definition of evil in common way.

That is the majority opinion, but I've always disagreed; in Chrono Cross, the music is better, the world is prettier -- those backgrounds! are they watercolor?? -- and I got more attached to the characters. (But I grew up with Chrono Cross, and was introduced to Chrono Trigger much later. So my opinion on it is heavily biased.)

Yeah, I agree. Sephiroth is five times better than Seymour and Kuja put together. (Though I do think Kefka from FF6 is the best FF villain. Jesus Christ, what a psycho.) But I was much more compelled by FF9 and FF10, plot-wise, and found their respective worlds to be more interesting. (I also REALLY dug the political intrigue in FF9.)
