Any reason he can't log on himself? Or would that require uncuffing him from the bedframe???

Hmmm.... I didn't think it was his hands that were cuffed.... how curious.

Hahahaha! You guys are terrible. But I guess I could let him out of the cage long enough to log on....

I think I am most myself when I am alone doing something. But myself is defined as opposed to others isn't it? So if I am most myself when alone then there is no myself. Something like that... there is something curious about defining myself as most myself when alone.

Hmmm...well I dunno what exactly defines my "self" but these are all things that are easy...they make me feel centred, content and natural:

-When I'm being ridiculous. Cracking jokes. Laughing and making people laugh. Participating in some good-natured verbal sparring. Friendly debating where nobody gets too involved that they end up feeling butt-hurt.

-When I'm immersed in a project I'm interested in. When I get to exercise my brain thing. Troubleshooting, researching, working with numbers and complex systems. Explaining something I'm knowledgeable about to someone showing interest. Brainstorming with creative people.

I'm most myself when I'm in nature, I just let the pure feeling of peaceful bliss overtake me, and my mind is clear. If I'm with people I don't feel self conscious around (very rare), then I feel like I'm being myself as well. Writing or music makes me feel like myself, no focus on trying to keep my guard up, just complete and utter vulnerability. Written words and music say what I'm afraid to say. I guess ultimately, if I'm just being myself without having to find the right words or hold anything back... just unabashedly me, that's when I feel most alive and authentic.

I couldn't agree more. All emotional guards are down. I have been trying to extend this to more moments when it is just my wife and I. I have met with some success, but I have to consciously work on it.
