People tell me I'm remarkable often, always have. It gets old. I don't rate compliments much. I tend to have a solid idea of my own worth and the opinions of others don't count for much.
Someone did tell me I had great principles recently, which I appreciated. (even though I'm not sure it's true)

I'm hesitant to acknowledge compliments, because if I do, I'd feel obligated to acknowledge criticism with equal weight. When somebody compliments me and says something like, "You're smart." I hear, "I like you, you're smart". And I keep, "I like you".
So I guess the nicest thing somebody has said to me is "I like you."
During my last place of internship, at my last day. A psychotic patient caught up with me at the door in order to give me a key chain featuring a guardian angel. She said "You're unusual." before walking away.
