I typically find myself enjoying the company of the mentally retarded many powers of ten moreso than the company of internet bullies. The interaction is far more interesting. No joke, no irony. They also tend to be right about more things and more open to new ideas.

I like to think I'd enjoy the company of genuinely retarded ppl, but I don't think I would for the same reason I don't enjoy the company of small children. When I know what that reason is I'll let you know.

    Varelse:

I need to spend some time learning about flowers. I thought you might like these, though.

    For Raincrow007:

I took this photo of my bird who's a Gouldian Finch. It fits your avatar pic so well.

    Thanks, Shimpei.

Oddly enough, I contemplated getting a Gouldian finch when I fist moved to the city.

For Varelse (and anyone else that likes orchids):
    Picture Presents for People-lcsl_opening-jpg

Lc Secret Love is blooming yet again, in spite of the horrible care it received earlier this year (looked nearly dead when I finally saw it again). In fact, aside from this pseudo-bulb and the other that is currently growing out, the plant looks pretty freaking pitiful. This entire pseudo-bulb has grown out since it got here (it has grown this much since the middle of May), and I'm surprised to see it both blooming and growing a new pseudo-bulb at the same time, especially considering how it looks otherwise and the ordeal it has been through. The old leaves are floppy on wrinkled spindly pseudo-bulbs and they look like they might fall off at some point (I'd take them off, but this plant has gone though some rough times and I want it to get the energy from the leaves before dropping them). The last pseudo-bulb before this one that grew out looks so weird that I don't even know how to describe it or what to do with it - it grew into a sort of spiral form when I was gone, and I have no clue how it happened (it was straight and short when I left it in the care of my parents and sister).

Anyhow, enjoy. There'll be more as this one opens completely and when the second bud opens (you can see it in the picture).
