Default dreams in which you die

im sure this is a fairly common phenomenon. id heard when i was young it were impossile to die in a dream, but ive since found this untrue (although typically i DO wake up before the final moment).

ive got a pretty solid list of them, but ill be a gentleman and let someone else go first.

last time i died it was like GTA - grey scale screen and all - with a voice-over of the news report on the robbery.

i woke up afterwards thinking why was i the only guy who got shot? what an ego.

Don't think I've ever had a dream in which I've died, but I've definitely had dreams where I've watched someone else die horribly. And then I wake up and wonder what the hell is wrong with my subconscious.

I had a nuclear bomb drop on me once. Was quite the experience.

How young are we talking here?
My most memorable death dreams where around the ages of 16.
I'm pretty sure ive had ones younger but I've just woken up as I died.
Had one where I died 7 times, and each time I'd just take on the PoV of someone else, that one was a pretty wicked dream.
I didn't wake up from the reaction to death in that one, have you had dreams also where you have not woken up as a result of death?

One time when I was in college I had a dream that involved Mormons and I remember they told me that if I walked through a red velvet curtain that I would die and be in heaven, and so I walked through the curtain, because I was keenly aware in the dream that I wanted away from my problems, and saw this as an escape, but walked through the curtain and it was just a stage prop.

I think the moral of this story is that I've seen too many David Lynch films.

My dreams of death often cause me to resurrect in an area point as if I were in a game.

I died in my dreams a few teams as a child, most of them from falling. This could be falling from escalators, elevators, balconies, anything that was high and easy to find in a city. I thought about death a lot more than other people my age when I was young. The whole not existing thing, freaked me the fuck out. If anything, it has become better with age.

My throbbing heart it gnawed apart
It stalks and hunts me through mirrors
