    Cribs
    Yes, I have.
    Car seats
If in good condition, no recalls.
    Helmets
No, unless it was for show, like a horned viking helmet, or one of those German helmets with the spikes on the top.
    Laptops
Absoultey, if the price were right. I'd give it the once over.
    Video Cameras
    Yep.
    Mattresses
    Nope.
    Shoes
I have and would in the future.
    Make up
    N/A
    Plasma HDTVs
I should read the article.. why shouldn't I buy a used Plasma HDTV? Do they loose their contrast over time? I'd turn it on and check it out first, but yest.
    Hats
    Sure, I'd inspect it.
    Swimsuits
    Prolly
    Vacuums
    Yes
    Tires
I wouldn't bother, unless I was pretty low on money and I really needed better tires.
    Software
    I would, and do.
    DVD Players
I have nothing against the idea, I just don't ever see myself buying another DVD player.
    Stuffed Animals
    Yup.
    Halogen Lamps
    Sure
    Blenders
    Yes
    Costume Jewelry
    I suppose.
    Pet food and treats
Is there a such thing as used food? Is this predigested?

i work estate sales. was clearing out this dead guy's house, found some nice boots, my size. waterproof red wing's. he walked a bit different than i do, i took out his aftermarket insoles and the originals are in good shape. the soles were worn from the way he walked, but a little time with a belt sander flattened that back out.

dead people don't need boots. i do. win-win.

    i just read the article.

it seems directed at people who can't appraise quality and can't fix anything themselves and don't know how to get a good price.

sure, you can get a new blender at target for 25 bucks - with a cheap motor, brittle plastic housing and sheisty nylon gears that will strip out after a handful of iced piña coladas. then you'll throw it in the trash.

or you can buy a nice used one with a metal drive and a glass bowl, nice thick blades, replaceable gaskets, maybe even a motor that has replaceable brushes for 20, you'll just have to wait to find it.

value isn't in the price tag.

What kind of idiot would buy a prostitute? Prostitutes are strictly for renting. That's the whole point of going to a prostitute.
Listen to me, baby, you got to understand, you're old enough to learn the makings of a man.

I've bought almost everything on this list used, or got it for free and used it. I think make up would be the exception. How many of these have you bought used, or do you feel you agree with the article?

None of them. I just got a dining room set this last week on craigslist though. It was a really great deal.
