My wife mentioned Robert Redford as well, I reminded her it wasn't 1973.

And people were saying I'm getting old???

I was born in 1980, so I should be above suspicion with regards to him. He was getting old when I went to elementary school.

I stand by my point, quality is timeless. I would not be interested in the old Redford or Connery of today, naturally, but if that is what you wanted to know you should have phrased the question differently :"What actor do you consider hot IN HIS CURRENT STATE IN 2012?"

You turn this into a question of current fashion rather than general taste or universal aesthetics and are also automatically implying that the selection would look very differently ina few years. In that case - what is it good for?

Age is not the issue for me with this list (young or corpses - not a problem). I'm just thinking I like a 'dorkier' kind of guy. I mean...while I can totally understand why someone would like a Robert Downey Jr. and a Johnny Depp...like I get that...I can't really *fantasize* about them because they have some sort of quality that would make me feel I was getting it on with myself or my brother or something.

And I should be embarrassed that I don't really know who this Alexander Statwhatever is shouldn't I?

Going off of physical qualities alone...I guess I will vote for Hardy.

edit: Whoops...that should be 'Skarswhatever'. And Ryan Gosling weirds me out a little bit.

Of the selection here, Hugh Jackman... but David Tennant wins in my book.

I picked RDJ, because he's a good looking guy and I like his personality.
But none of these guys can hold a candle to this babe:

You couldn't figure out the context by the selections in the poll?

If I wanted all-time I'd have said all-time! Like I said, it's summer and I want to know who is hot NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

(and yes, this thread will be more irrelevant as time goes by)

You could have more eye candy if it wasn't restricted just to movie stars... Then again, I guess the profession does attract handsome fellows.
