Default How would you call your spaceship?

    Hi !
How would you call your space ship ?
What kind of space ship would it be ?
Faster than light? Slow colony ship ?

And where would you send it ? What is your plan ?

    1) Name of my spaceship
mmh. The further than light !

    2) What kind of spaceship?
It would use negative mass vs mass differentials to push a bubble of spacetime faster than light while the ship would be inside of it and not accelerating to respect relativity and our models of the early universe (about how spacetime can expand ''faster than light'' from some observers perspective while what is INSIDE space time (you me) cannot

    3) The goal of the mission
If the tech allows for it I would drop self replicating machines to build transmitters and ''builders'' throughout the universe. They would set up receivers so we can beam up information (including minds) and settle other planets in an energy efficient way.

I would keep going and reach other universes, study the nature of space and time and whether physics are localized to a degree. Then after a while I should reach other universe, strange places, and even, once in a great while, perfect copies of the one I left, and I would smile mischievously and wonder if i should change a few things and see what happens. Like a time machine to the past forever taking you away from the familiar copy you re facing

There's no contest on this one, it'd be the 'Heart of Gold'. I need something with an improbability drive.

See id have the heart of lead, it has a probability drive, which evaluates what is most likely to happen, so for example it would evaluate that the speeds required to cover the vast distances in space would most likely result in humans being turned into puree.

Unfortunately after the first 57 deaths, all lawyers fortunately, they decomissioned it. On the other hand, we would never find out about 42.

I've thought so much about this that I've reached a bottleneck at this point.

Although one of the features it must have would be female voice xNTP AI. That I would develop an impossible relationship with. It wouldn't be the main part of the plot but it would serve as a comical relief as well as providing emotional value.

To travel further than man has ever traveled before, I would stay the fuck away from Proxima Centauri though.

    I'd call it 'My House'

What kind of spaceship would 'My House' be?

It'll be my house, with propulsion, life support and a never ending supply of stuff thanks to replicaters stolen borrowed from Star Trek.
The Bridge would be one room, the engine room would be another, the galley/mess hall would be another and the crew would having living quatres and their'd be an onboard gym too and showers and bathrooms.

    What's 'My House' 's mission?
    To go home. (How ironic).
Picture Star Trek: Voyager and let's make that the misson of 'My House'.

Soon we'll have quantum communication. We won't need to be connected in the universe.

Mine would be a ship of epic proportions, sparslely populated by a preselected community. It would be fitted with a quantum radio and completely nuclear powered. We would pioneer interspatial travel technologies along the way and get hammered enough to admire the stars. We'd think of a goal some day.
