    I'll share my results later.

I read at 216 wpm but I didn't consciously retain much it at that speed........ I guessed 2/3 right though. My retaining speed is probably more like 70 wpm since I have to read it over about 3 times to remember. This is why I make my own stories

I need to slow it to retain it, though! I drift off into the unknown world when I read often.

I actually took a speed reading course once. I probably could do 1500+ back then, but I fell out of practice. Speed reading is only good as an information dump. You can't read that fast and appreciate good writing and the emotional impact.

599 in 52 seconds. I always thought I was a very slow reader, I guess I'm better than I thought
For all that we have done, as a civilization, as individuals, the universe is not stable, and nor is any single thing within it. Stars consume themselves, the universe itself rushes apart, and we ourselves are composed of matter in constant flux. Colonies of cells in temporary alliance, replicating and decaying and housed within, an incandescent cloud of electrical impulses. This is reality, this is self knowledge, and the perception of it will, of course, make you dizzy.
