Thats good to hear. With all the showoffs in the NT direction on this board and then a TV show about it emerging I was starting to believe that about the states

nah... no need to worry that much the NT showoffs on the board are most likely exaggerated characteristics of what they think will make them closest to the "superior type" or borg or what have you... I haven't met any real life people like that despite attending a college known for engineering and sciences for 6 years, and if such people were going to show up ANYWHERE outside of their parents' basements it would be there

    depending on what type...

in other words, don't try too hard to be a stereotype or you might end up looking pathetic to others... and don't expect that everyone else should have to walk on eggshells around you in order to accommodate you... nobody accommodates the rest of us, so why should you be special?

those are funny under the thoughts of "how hilariously naive!"

though I'd still delete a few years from memory, or at least emotional memory, if the opportunity presented itself

I am a physicist, have studied and worked in the U.S. my entire career, and can confirm that my classmates and colleagues are not like that. They are much more likely to be like Leonard, except they are not nearly as preoccupied with sex/relationships. (My perspective might be skewed, though. I first learned of Big Bang from a guy at the gym who said I reminded him of the characters in it . . . )

I'm not sure this is a common NT problem, though. We seem to want to keep our own problems hidden, and put our skills to work solving other people's problems, even if they don't want us to do so. Usually we need to be more willing to ask for and accept help, and to realize we don't always know what is best for someone else.
I've been called a criminal, a terrorist, and a threat to the known universe. But everything you were told is a lie. The truth is, they've taken our freedom, our home, and our future. The time has come for all humanity to take a stand...
