Definitely going to Golden Gate park. And I'm a huge sucker for incredible breakfast food so Mama's looks good too.

    NO.

Yeah Mama's, I went there. Since I had the time, mostly I just wandered around the city. It's a great place for that. Walked from Union Square to Fisherman's Wharf several times, wandered the shops of Chinatown a lot. I really enjoyed the Japanese Gardens at Golden Gate Park.

How about touring the Letterman Digital Arts Center and taking a picture of the Yoda fountain?

I didn't say it was a must, just highly recommended.

Especially if you're up by the Marina/North Beach/Russian Hill one night.

i was there around a month ago. one of the most fun meals i had while i was in the states for 6 weeks was at a place in chinatown called Z & Y. you have to order the 'explosive chicken' the presentation is staggering and it's delicious. you need to eat it. it's great. hot though - my fella was bright red and schweddy while he was eating it. this is it

i also liked a cute bookstore/bar called two sisters. if you like cheese there's a great cheese shop called cowgirl creamery.

blue bottle coffee is good....ummm....pizzeria delfina is great and i had a lovely meal at bar jules. have fun. SF is a cool city.

The lady down under speaka my language, I love capsacin and fantastic coffee. The explosive chicken sounds wonderful. The sweating, pain, the huffing and puffing is always the best part. @mmhmm already mentioned we check out Blue Bottle but another endorsement always helps, and as a coffee priss I'm dying to see/get a taste of the siphon method.

I lived in San Fran for about a month.

    1. Go see a Giants game.
    2. See the "Golden Gate Bridge" and when you see that you will simultaneously see "Alcatraz prison" because the bridge overlooks it.
    3. Go see China town and taste their awesome cuisine.
    4. Go and eat some of the awesome authentic Mexican food there that blows "Taco Bell" completely out of the water.
5.See "the most crooked street in the world".
    6. Go surfing in the Pacific Ocean and ride the ridiculously big waves there.
    7. If you go to San Jose there are actually 3 Vietnamese coffee shops there all in the same plaza where they have Asian women serve you coffee in the nude.
